Bayern Munich manager, Vincent Kompany, had to be taken to hospital with an air ambulance spotted landing at the club’s training ground on Friday.
It comes as Kompany has been battling a viral infection.
While the 40-year-old was able to take the reins of Bayern’s 6-1 win over Leipzig on Saturday, BILD claim that Kompany had to lie down on a sofa in his coach’s room at half-time and after the win.
Further concerns sparked when assistant coach, Aaron Danks, took his place for the Bundesliga titans’ pre-match press conference on Tuesday, looking to their Champions League clash with Arsenal.
It is reported that Kompany underwent a thorough examination by medical experts, including team doctor, Prof. Roland Schmidt, missing training sessions on Monday and Tuesday.
