Twins Peter and Paul Okoye — P-Square — ruled African pop in the 2000s with dance-heavy hits like “Personally”, “Chop My Money” and “Beautiful Onyinye”. Their story is also one of family fall-outs: a split in 2017, a reunion in 2021, and a bitter public feud in 2026.

Beginnings in Jos
The twins began singing and dancing at St Murumba College in Jos, inspired by Michael Jackson and MC Hammer, and formed a group called Smooth Criminals before settling on P-Square. Winning the Grab Da Mic competition in 2001 led to their debut album, Last Nite (2003).
The golden years
Get Squared (2005) — with “Bizzy Body” and “Temptation” — and Game Over (2007) made them superstars. Albums like Danger and The Invasion followed, with hits such as “Do Me”, “Chop My Money”, “Beautiful Onyinye”, “Personally” and “Alingo”. Their big-budget videos, choreography and live shows set a standard across Africa.
Splits and reunion
- 2017 — the duo broke up amid disputes involving management and family, and went solo as Mr P and Rudeboy;
- November 2021 — they reconciled, then toured the world in 2022, including the Royal Albert Hall in London;
- 2024–2026 — the relationship broke down again. In 2026 Peter publicly cut ties with Paul and their brother Jude, accusing them of betrayal and making financial claims about the group’s catalogue, which Jude rejects. Jude separately faces EFCC money-laundering charges, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
Paul’s team has said family matters should not be fought in public. Fans still hope for another reunion.
Net worth and businesses
Both brothers earn from their large catalogue, solo shows and businesses; the ownership of P-Square’s catalogue is at the centre of their dispute. Celebrity net worth figures online are mostly guesses — none of the big numbers you see are verified, so treat them with care.
