- Isaac Fayose, a Nigerian businessman and social commentator, supports Peter Obi without external financial influence.
- His backing for Obi is a personal decision, not motivated by monetary support.
- Fayose also supports the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Nigerian businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose has stated that nobody gave him money to support Peter Obi, insisting that his decision to back the former Anambra State governor is entirely his personal choice.
Fayose, who has expressed support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Peter Obi, explained that his political stance would not stop him from showing respect to other people, regardless of their political affiliations.
He noted that supporting Obi does not mean he would disrespect individuals associated with other political camps, including Wike’s son or Seyi Tinubu, if they approached him to greet him as an elder.
“Because I am supporting NDC and Peter Obi doesn’t mean Wike’s son or Seyi Tinubu will come and greet me as an elder and I will push them away. Nobody gave me money to support Obi; I am using my money to support Peter Obi,” he said.
His statement highlights his position that political support should not prevent people from maintaining mutual respect, while also stressing that his backing of Obi is not financially motivated by any individual or group.
