Taraba man passes away after following domestic violence with wife over dispute about young girls

A 30-year-old man, identified as Haruna Ishaka, has reportedly passed away in Maigoje village, Mai Idanu Ward, Gashaka Local Government Area of Taraba State, following a domestic violence incident involving his 24-year-old wife, Maimuna.

According to a police report from the Gashaka Division, obtained by SaharaReporters, Maimuna cut off her husband's manhood at about 11:15 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Haruna reportedly passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, October 13, 2026, following the incident.

His body was subsequently buried in accordance with Islamic rites, according to the report.

Preliminary findings indicated that Maimuna had previously warned her husband about his interest in young girls outside their marriage, but he refused to heed her warnings.

The report further stated that Maimuna was at large as of the time the report was being prepared by the police.
