Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Ijeoma Emi, popularly known as Mercedes, has appealed to Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy for assistance in getting her own accommodation as she works to rebuild her life after the reality show.
Mercedes made the appeal in a post shared on X on Sunday, October 25, 2026, following Don Jazzy’s announcement that he was offering “Don’s blessings” and a “small El nino” to selected individuals.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, the reality TV star opened up about her struggles behind the scenes, explaining that the exposure she gained from the show does not necessarily mean she has achieved the life many people assume she is living.
“People may see the exposure and assume I’m living my dream, but behind the scenes, I’m trying so hard to rebuild my life. I don’t even see myself as a celebrity. I’m just a young woman trying to find her place in the world,” she wrote.
Mercedes explained that her request was not driven by a desire for luxury or a glamorous lifestyle. Instead, she wants a place she can call her own, where she can feel safe, comfortable and focus on building a stable future.
The former housemate also revealed how her current living conditions have affected her work as a content creator and pole dancer.
According to her, the ceiling in her present accommodation is unsuitable for installing a pole indoors, leaving her with no choice but to practise on an outdoor balcony. However, the weather often disrupts her training, as both sunshine and rainfall make it difficult to practise consistently.
